New Torchwood Comic Online

As part of their 'Alien Invasion' week, digital channel Watch have published an exclusive Torchwood comic online from the makers of Torchwood Magazine! The comic is written by Oli Smith and features Captain Jack, Gwen and Ianto. Click here to read 'Ma and Par'.

Torchwood: Children of Earth is repeated at 9.00pm from Monday to Friday next week and each episode has an exclusive introduction from Captain Jack himself - John Barrowman! Doctor Who is also repeated on the channel throughout the week.

Update - Let's get Bernard Cribbins back into the charts!

As previously reported, a new Facebook page has been created in the aim of getting Bernard Cribbins' 1962 single 'Right Said Fred' back into the UK charts. The two admins for the page, Tom Hirst and Charlie Ross have now given a date for when you need to download it!

The week we are aiming for is 7th - 13th March - so you need to download "Right Said Fred" between those dates.

The single is available to download from Play.com, Amazon and iTunes.

Peter Mckinsky's Concept Designs

Peter Mckinstry, a concept designer on Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures has published some of his work online.

Matthew Graham to write for Doctor Who: Series Six?

Matthew Graham, who wrote the 2006 Doctor Who episode 'Fear Her' as well as BBC One's 'Life on Mars' and 'Ashes to Ashes' has hinted in an interview with Den of Geek that he could be returning next year to pen an episode for Doctor Who: Series Six.

"I'd love to come back. I went to see Piers Wenger and Steven Moffat last year about doing a two-parter for the series that they're shooting now. And I contacted them and said, ‘Look, I've got this idea for a Doctor Who. Can I talk to you?' And they were, ‘Yeah, yeah. Brilliant.' And I just couldn't make the time work, with going to the States and Ashes gearing up again. But I'd love to go back and do some more.

I want to do one with monsters. They owe me monsters!"

We then asked if he thought he was pencilled in for a series six story if he could make the time work. And here's what Matthew said:

"Yeah, yeah. I do actually. Piers has been really, really gracious and said that if you could come and do a Doctor Who for us, we'd really love to have you back. And I'd love to do it. It's a fantastic job. A very, very nerve-wracking job. But since I've had an even bigger, more scary franchise to get involved with for a bit. And now I've got my own to look after as well! It's a series of people handing me precious objects and saying don't drop them!"

CONFIRMED - Silurians to return in Doctor Who: Series Five

In an interview with Perthshire advertiser, Scottish actress Neve McIntosh says that she is playing a Siluran in the second two-parter (written by Chris Chibnall) of Doctor Who: Series Five.

Edinburgh-raised Neve (38) will be appearing in two episodes of the next series of Dr Who beside new time-traveller Matt Smith.

It’s a dream-come-true for the sci-fi fan, who reckons the latest occupant of the Tardis has the potential to out-strip his predecessors Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant.

She said: “I think he’s going to be really good, the best yet out of the new guys.

“The stories have got a bit darker. I play twins, and they’re big lizardwarrior women.

“They’re one of the Silurian tribes that have been undisturbed under the earth. And of course we get disturbed.

“It’s the first time I’ve worn prosthetics but I’m still recognisable if you know me well enough.

“But there’ll probably be lots of people going, ‘Who the hell is that?’”

Neve, who also appears alongside Welsh actor Robert Pew and The Kumars at No 42’s Meera Syal, impresses as a genuine Who expert.

She confessed: “I remember the end of Jon Pertwee and the awesome Tom Baker, who were bridged by Sarah-Jane.

“A friend gave me a copy of the first Silurian story with Jon and the Sea Devils, and they came back later with Peter Davison. It’s great. I love Dr Who.”
