According to Russell T Davies' revised and updated book The Writer's Tale: The Final Chapter, he was approached for a musical version of Torchwood involving Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus from Abba!The executive producer was told "Yep. Bjorn and Benny love Torchwood." However, the musical unfortunately never happened!
The Writer's Tale: The Final Chapter is published on 14 January.
