Doctor Who and Torchwood will go head to head at the National Television Awards after both shows have been nominated in the 'Drama' category. David Tennant, John Barrowman and Eve Myles will also compete for the 'Drama Performance' award for playing the roles of The Doctor, Captain Jack and Gwen Cooper in Doctor Who and Torchwood. Other actors from the Whoniverse nominated in this category include: Freema Agyeman Law & Order: UK, Alex Kingston Hope Springs, Bradley Walsh Law & Order: UK and Colin Morgan Merlin.Voting closes on 30th September 2009, and the awards ceremony will take place in January 2010.
