Barry Letts Dies

I am deeply saddened to hear the news that Barry Letts, producer and director on the classic series of Doctor Who, has died at the age of 84. He made a massive contribution on the series, mainly working around the early 70s - during the Third Doctor's period. Letts also created the highly successful character of Sarah Jane Smith, played by Elisabeth Sladen. As well as producing and occasionally directing, Letts also co-wrote the story the Deamons, alongside Robert Sloman. Many recent DVD releases have included documentaries and commentaries featuring contributions from Barry Letts.
